Rehab Treatment Center
Rehab is an important step toward helping individuals recover from addictive substance abuse habits and actions. At Sprout Health New Jersey, we offer high quality, effective treatments for those recovering from, or currently experiencing drug and alcohol dependence. In order to do this on a consistent basis, we offer a wide range of health, cognitive therapy, and psychological treatments and interventions that help our clients to fully recover.
How We Help
We help a variety of people from all walks of life. From the professional to the adolescent and both men and women, our rehab center encourages our clients to examine the cause of their addiction, and to address problematic behaviors that have led to their addiction.
Our Treatment Programs
While we can treat the physical and mental symptoms that cause addiction, we base much of our success on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). The practice has a broad base of empirical support for helping addicted individuals become abstinent from harmful substances. It teaches a new way of thinking about one’s self, the world, and other people. It is also a way of reexamining how one’s thought processes, how they have affected that person’s behavior, and makinte the connect to their present state of being. Cognitive therapy can help change how a person thinks about their problems. Instead of focusing on the past, the goal is to find solutions for the present.
CBT is helpful in alleviating:
Post-traumatic stress disorder
How CBT Works
CBT is aimed at helping clients recognized the situations that are most likely to cause them to abuse alcohol or drugs. They also learn how to avoid these situations, and to cope far more effectively with problems that arise every day in life. When problems can be broken down into smaller parts, it is easier to understand them and arrive at solutions.
CBT can help you to better understand problems by breaking them down into manageable parts. This makes it easier to see how they relate to each other, and how they affect you. Our clients can become more aware of their emotions, thoughts, situations, physical feelings, and actions they choose to take. The reality is that each area mentioned can affect the other areas.
In our assessment, we decide the type of treatment we think will work best. Our goal is to place clients in a comfort zone. You can decide if it works for you in the short or long-term. Our therapists will work with you at every step along the way to make sure your treatment plan is working.
Working with a Core Group
Group therapy has its benefits as well. We find that patients can gain insights, share, and learn from the experiences of others. Every group member agrees that any information shared in the sessions is personal, and discussed only for therapeutic purposes. Your group, and therapist, will break problems down into separate parts to gain a greater understanding at that level. This allows each patient to examine their thoughts and feelings at a sub level. Homework might be recommended, and it might entail removing a negative thought process and replacing it with a positive one.
The strength of CBT allows patients to practice and develop their skills for a lifetime. Thus, there is a stronger possibility they will remain sober. CBT currently happens to be the most effective treatment for anxieties, anger, depression, and other mental disorders.
What to Bring to Rehab
We do not allow drugs, prescriptions, or weapons in our facility. Bring comfortable clothing like flip flops, flat shoes, running shoes, gym clothes, sunglasses, and toiletries. It is also important to remember that your goal is to disconnect from the outside world for a while. Leave any devices that will allow you to communicate over the Internet etc. We want you to focus on getting well and getting back to a point where you return home as a conquering individual.
